Close Your Eyes and You’re Home…

img-20170101-wa0005See the palm trees swayin’,
In the ocean breeze.
Feel the ocean waves sprayin’,
A salty mist through the trees.
Sands are shifting time through the night.
Nature’s rhythm sends a message,
Everything’s all right.

There’s never a moment that goes by,
I’m always there, until the day I die.
When you’re life’s at its peak,
You’ll find bitter cold and snow,
Clinging to harsh unfeeling rock,
When you look down below.

Just remember the door remains open,
When you reach for the sky.
You can always reach for me.
So baby don’t you cry.

There’ll be long walks alone,
Breathe the fresh smell of pine.
Forget the bears in the woods,
And you’ll be just fine.
Sing a song, sing out loud,
Like I know you would.
You have your smile to protect you,
Like I never could.

I’m going to build you a cabin,
In the mountains, so high.
Where no one can touch you,
When you reach for the sky.
Never mind the trees above you,
Or the jagged rocks below.
I’ll be there to catch you,
When you’re feeling low.

Just remember the door remains open,
When you reach for the sky.
You can always reach for me.
So baby don’t you cry.

Close your eyes and you’re home…
And the palm trees,
Swaying in the breeze.
The ocean is spraying
Mist through the trees.
The sands are shifting
Time through the night
And nature is saying,
Life will be all right.
